Stacy is a 2004 graduate of the Maryland School of Dog Grooming, formerly of Silver Spring Maryland, where she focused on  Breed Standard Grooming. She continues to work at fine tuning her skills by attending annual seminars and workshops taught by leaders in Grooming Industry. Some of which have included Canine Massage and The Science of Skin workshop. She has also received a Pet CPR and Basic First Aid certificate from the Red Cross as well as Pet Tech.

In April of 2015 Stacy achieved one of her long term goals by becoming a Nationally Certified Groomer through N.D.G.A.A, by passing the  Non-Sporting certification with her toy poodle Dutch. She is currently pursuing testing in Terriers and Sporting group to complete her Master Groomer Certification.

In January 2019 The World of Pets Expo in Timonium hosted the inaugural IJA Maryland Grooming Competition. Stacy competed in the Rescue Me classes and was awarded Best In Show and was also awarded the Safe Handling Award. She looks forward to competing again and helping get rescue dogs clean and beautiful and into loving homes.  In 2022 Stacy and Dutch competed again at The World of Pets Expo and received third place in Freestyle class.
